DATE OF BIRTH BLOCK : Candidates should be born between  01 July  1991 to  30 September 1995
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
For Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical)  {For Automobile Technician and  Indian Air Force (Police)} Trades   Candidate should have passed Intermediate or  10+2 or equivalent examination with  Science,  Arts or Commerce subjects  or  equivalent vocational courses  with minimum  50% marks in aggregate.  Vocational  course should be recognized by Association of Indian Universities.
OR
Three year Diploma  in any stream of Engineering  from a Government  recognised Polytechnic Institute.

MEDICAL STANDARDS   :- 
(a) General Medical Standards for both Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical)  {For Automobile Technician and Indian  Air  Force  (Police)} trades and  Group ‘X’  (Technical) trades are as follows: -
(i) Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
(ii)  Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
(iii) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) not acceptable.
(iv) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear  forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
(v)  Dental:   Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum  14 dental points. 

JOB SPECIFICATION
(a) Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) {For Automobile Technician and Indian Air Force  (Police)} trades involve jobs like.  
(i) Automobile Technician As an Automobile Technician you will  drive  all types of light, medium and heavy automobiles, load carriers and specialist  vehicles like cranes, towing tractors, fork lifters etc. subject to service  exigencies.  As a technician you will also carry out minor repairs, day to day  maintenance and basic level servicing of the common user vehicles and  specialist vehicles in the Indian Air Force inventory.
(ii) Indian Air Force (Police)   As an Indian Air Force (Police)  your  responsibilities involves assuming  police duties and investigation of offence.  You are also in-charge of maintenance of security.
