AIR INDIA CHARTERS LIMITED invites applications for the above positions from Indian Citizens (wherever domiciled) to fill up vacancies and maintain a wait-list for future requirements for its airline Air India Express on Permanent / Contractual Employment to be based at Mumbai / Delhi / Mangalore / Kochi / Thiruvananthapuram / Kozhihode / Tiruchirapally or any other station as per Company requirement.
Number of Posts : Existing vacancies and maintain a wait-list for future requirements
Reservation : As per Government Guidelines and will be based on post-based roster as per the prevailing cadre strength.
No reservation is applicable for this post under the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION : Candidates should be in possession of :
i. CPL / ATPL issued by Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India.
ii. Instrument Rating endorsement on Indian CPL/ATPL.
iii. FRTO license issued by DGCA.
iv. RTR (P) / RTR (C) / RTR issued by Ministry of Communication, WPC Wing, Government of India.
v. All licenses shall be valid at the time of joining.
vi. Current passport (if not available, proof of submission of application to be attached. Possession of passport mandatory at time of joining).
FLYING EXPERIENCE:
Post Experience
Captain PIC on B737NG; and currently flying with any airline
Co-Pilot With type endorsement on B737NG and holding valid CPL / ATPL ; and currently flying with
any airline
MEDICAL FITNESS:
Class - I Medical Fitness Certificate by DGCA, Government of India, which should be valid and current at the time of application. (Candidates must have done their last Medical / Renewal within preceding 6 months / 1 year, as applicable)
AGE LIMIT:
i) For the post of CAPTAIN
UPPER AGE LIMIT : (As on April 01, 2012) 48 years for General 51 years for OBC 53 years for SC/ST candidates
ii) For the post of CO-PILOT – Contractual Employment
(subject to change into permanent employment on obtaining Command)
UPPER AGE LIMIT: (As on April 01, 2012)
For Pilots holding CPL with Type Rating, 40 years for General 43 years for OBC 45 years for SC/ST candidates
Ex-Servicemen will be given age relaxation as per Government rules.
SELECTION PROCEDURE :
a) An Interview and Simulator Flight Proficiency Test (all at Mumbai).
b) Candidates short-listed after Personal Interview will be required to undergo a Simulator Flight Proficiency Test.
c) Company may introduce a Psychometric Test for a particular category, as part of the Selection Process.
d) After completion of the selection process, successful candidates shortlisted for induction as per vacancy(ies), shall be informed accordingly.
e) Short-listed candidates will have to undergo Company Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME); their induction will be subject to being found FIT in the PEME.

a) Applicants who are meeting with the eligibility criteria mentioned in this advertisement, as on April 01, 2012, are required to forward their applications, in the prescribed format, by post at the address given below. Eligible candidates only will be called for the Selection Process subsequently.

b) Applications. superscribing on the envelope the “post applied : CAPTAIN / EXAMINER / INSTRUCTOR / CO-PILOT” in capital letters, should reach on or before May 15, 2012.
c) OBC candidates should submit a non-refundable Fee of Rs.1,500/- in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Air India Charters Limited, payable at Mumbai, along with their Application. (SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman candidates are exempted from
payment of this Fee). Candidates are required to write their names, post applied for, on the reverse of the Demand Draft.
d) Self-Attested copies of supportive documents in respect of Item Nos. 3 and 11 to 18 of the Application, must be submitted along with the Application in the prescribed format, accompanied with 02 recent (not more than 6 months old) passport size coloured photographs - matt finish paper with light background, with name on the reverse of the photographs.
e) Original Certificates will be required to be brought along for verification purpose only, at the time of the Selection Process, but should not be submitted / attached along with the Application. The Company is not responsible for returning any original copy/ies of Certificates / Testimonials submitted with the Application.
f) Applications which are incomplete / not meeting the prescribed Eligibility Criteria / without requisite Documents / without requisite fee / candidates not in possession of the requisite Licences, shall be treated as NOT ELIGIBLE and such candidates will not be allowed to appear for the Selection Process. No communication in this regard shall be entertained.
g) Application once submitted, will not be allowed to be withdrawn and the Fees once paid, will not be refunded on any account, nor would this Fee be held in reserve for any future examination or selection.
h) AICL is not responsible for any postal delay / loss at any stage of transmission / communication.
i) A recent (not more than three months old) passport-size coloured photograph of the full face (front view) should be pasted neatly in the space provided in the Application Form.
j) SC/ST candidates must submit proof (clear self-attested copy of Caste Certificate) in support of their claim that they belong to SC/ST.
k) Scheduled Castes candidates who were originally professing Hindu religion and have embraced Neo Buddhism will also be considered for appointment against posts reserved for Scheduled Caste.
l) The candidates belonging to OBC categories, at the time of application, must submit a clear self-attested photocopy of the Certificate recently issued by the Competent Authority, in the format as prescribed by Government of India. The Certificate, inter alia, must specifically state that the candidate does not belong to socially advanced sections excluded from the benefits of reservations for OBC in civil posts and services under the Government of India. The Certificate should also contain the “Non-Creamy Layer” Clause. The Certificate produced by the candidates of OBC community should be as per the Central List published by the Government of India.
m) Applicants ordinarily domiciled in Kashmir Division of J & K State during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 who are eligible for the upper age relaxation, must produce the Domicile Certificate to this effect at the time of Interview from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division, within whose jurisdiction the applicant had ordinarily resided or any other authority designated in this regard by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
n) The applicant should ensure that they fulfil all the Eligibility Criteria regarding qualifications, age, etc. as on April 01, 2012. Other particulars furnished should be correct in all respects. At any stage of the Selection Process, if particulars provided by the candidates in the application or testimonials supplied are found incorrect / false, or not meeting with the eligibility requirements prescribed for the post, the candidature is liable to be rejected and, if appointed, services terminated, without giving any notice or reasons therefor.
o) Applicants working in Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertakings or autonomous bodies, must walk-in with the completed Application Form routed through proper channel or along with “No Objection Certificate” from their present employer.
